I saw a fae once upon a full moon -
she whispered in a hush so sweet ...
" The coldness of winter is coming soon!"
And I saw the flocks of birds retreat.
I asked of her if she'd be alright ,
with the northern winds begun to blow.
In a mushroom warm she'd stay at night,
she showed me so I'd then know.
I was saddened to think of the loss of magic,
much so it truly was tragic,
but I then suddenly was whisked away.
She'd felt so sorry for a mere mortal
she created a portal;
so that as a fae myself, I could stay.
I am of them now, and paradise is real.
In your garden, home, and bed -
If a vision of magick you wish to steal,
close your eyes and rest your head.
As you drift off, imagine the smallest wings;
a tiny form - exotic,with wide, loving eyes.
Let the scent of cookies, other sweet things
fill your head like stained glass butterflies.
The mushroom where she took me , it still stands.
If you come as a child you'll see.
Hold your heart and hopes open in your hands,
and a fairy you soon shall be!
As angels we sing,
upon bunnies we ride.
Gathered in a ring,
playing by the fireside.
We love milk,and sweet bread,
The lambs hide us well ;
If you wish a story read ,
Tree elders shall spin you a tale.
To sleep now, hasten,
close your eyes-
and relax your weary self
you'll lie peaceful beneath the faery skies,
And just may awaken as an elf!

May a glimmer of magic find it's way
to you , my friends, upon this day -
Many hugs from the south,
